I’ve sold the book of love now
I’ve picked up the present time
My funeral was no pretty sight
An empty yard filled by ghosts
I had to give it all up and count back
I was moving fast back down the line
I really need to find a stepping stone
Move from these worn out mindfields
I’ve been blocked out in my shadow
Seen myself from the doomed side
I’ve been blocked out in my shadow
Left behind my world of religion
A hidden light in my own shadow
Blocked out the spirit of a man
The big fiction has been my space
between selfdeception and reality
I hold the walls from falling down
The game of trivial pursuit I won
Now I feel the sense and sensibility
The rational response is happening
Moving out from a nebula of insanity
Starting up in my own world of light
I’ve been blocked out in my shadow
Seen myself from the doomed side
I’ve been blocked out in my shadow

The spirit of a man is back with confidence
The spirit of the man holds the eternal light
All the shadows will surely follow in his wake
