Completely Upturned
I know our story, especially the end
I’m the only one, who wants to defend
All the fear and all the hate
But deep inside, I know it’s too late
This is not the place, where I want to be
A couple of years and then you will see
A world full of hate, a world full of fear
That’s the reason I won’t, I won’t stay here
Got the sun in my eyes, in the middle of the night
Got the truth in my lies and no conscience in sight
Cause everything is, completely upturned
Is this the best we can do? Do we never learn?
And I know what I want to do
I wanna get it right, wanna defy the fright
But I know it will take, just a moment to see
It’s a fight I can’t win, it’s the world against me
I’m going away and no one can stop me
Far from this world, as far as eyes can see
They say it’s like hell, those who‘ve been there
But I don’t mind, can’t be worse than it’s here
