I thought it would come to this
Can’t decide, can’t understand at all
The future was just another bliss
I lost my pride, the one I can recall
I couldn’t hold on to our pledge
I just danced with another mother
Frankly, I want to be frank with you
Hope you comprehend, do understand
I wrote the poems and I told the story
Frankly, I want to be frank with you
Never knew from time to time
Just did what the moment called for
Frankly, I never listened to the lessons
Frankly, I never believed you knew my best
See I needed another French kiss
I guess you’ll leave and stand all tall
To make you my confidant is my wish
Okay I lied, guess I deserve to fall
But honey I’m dancing to the very edge
Wont you please throw out the ladder
Frankly, I want to be frank with you
Hope you comprehend, do understand
Still writing poems, please listen to my story
Frankly, I want to be frank with you
I know now, Ill be yours to the end of the line
The pack of lies just walked out the door
Frankly, I will always listen at your sessions
Frankly, I never thought friendship was best
With this light I will face the coming
I will walk by your side and listen well
As long as it takes to be for real again
I will walk in the circle to my truth
