I´m sure they knew

they don´t ask why
the most important things
are never to talk about

they knew
i´m sure they knew
the ones that saw
but would not tell
or the ones that was told
but did not act

they just took for granted
that i would make it through
another year

and now they sit there
with their fancy lifes
telling me
if once in a while i feel sad
i have myself to blame
