or die in the past
don't slow down
cause life ends fast
a slave to the past
shackled to the last
a nasty spell
he'll cast so vast
die in glory
or end in fury
there's only one
judge and jury
stand tall and see
life is like a tree
roots so deep
the feelings will creep
up your back
and create a crack
feel the wind
or feelings pinned
a touch so soft
will end in frost
unless you stop
and heed the words
and hear the wings
of the hummingbirds
