Everything was so resplendent, I gave my heart away
Now I’m more careful, I see things differently
I never count love to easy, I never use a situation
So now I know a little better what it was all about
It wasn’t that long ago you left me with a broken heart
You told me to walk away and try love without you
My blues was on its way, my blues came that day
You give me the blues each and every day
I try to live solo in a place they call my home
In the lonesome hours I try to give my heart away
But blues won’t go away, no the blues won’t go away
You know our love was not a funny game
Oh sugar it’s a shame your heart could beat that slow
Okay I admit it, I haven’t tried that hard to let go
Okay I admit it, my actions are moving real slow
Going to set the wheels in motion… real soon
Going to give you my side of the… pale moon
My blues is on its way, my blues has seen that day

I live all day with a second hand devotion
I live all night with thoughts of hallucination
Going to keep on praying night and day
Going to cut a piece of mind and send a letter
I’m going to loose this pain I felt for so long
Okay I admit it, hate has grown into a stone in my heart
Okay I admit it, lack of love brings jealousy new names
My blues is on its way, my blues has found a way
My blues will walk away, I won’t let it stay

You used to know what my heart was telling
You used to lit the candle in my first room
I want you to think of all the love you took
You have to understand my heart needs to rest

I’m going to open my mind for the rest of the day
I’m going to party just tonight and leave the blues to stay
